An international academic conference "Historical photos of Mongolia" was held in Prague, Czech Republic (April 25,26 2024).
Academician Chuluun Sampildondov, Director of Chinggis Khaan National Museum gave a speech on the results of the 10-volume project "Mongolia and Mongols".
Scholars and researchers from England, Russia, Japan, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Poland, and Mongolia, they study and preserve photographs related to the history of Mongolia in the 20th century participated in this international conference. They discussed on interesting presentations and compare, identify, classify Mongolian historical photographs, implementation of joint projects and creation of an electronic database.
Under the leadership of the director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Academician Chuluun Sampildondov, a group of Russian, Danish, Norwegian and British Seintists worked together to produce 10 volumes "Mongolia and the Mongols" titled and published by “Mongolians of photography". The conference began with speeches by Michal Lukeš, Director of the Czech National Museum and Gansukh Damdin, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. In this speech, they mentioned the production of a photo album commemorating the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Mongolia and the Czech Republic next year.
