PARTICIPANTS OF “MEMORY OF THE WORLD” PROGRAM VISITED CHINGGHIS KHAAN NATIONAL MUSEUM

 The Ministry of Culture of Mongolia is organizing the 10th General Assembly of the "Memory of the World" Committee for Asia and the Pacific program of UNESCO for the first time in Ulaanbaatar. (05.07.2024)

Currently on the international list, there are 496 documents, five documents from Mongolia are registered in the international list of UNESCO "Memory of the World" program. In which:

- Lu. “Altan Tobchi”: Golden History (2011)

- Mongolian Tanjur (2011)

- Kanjur written with 9 precious stones (2013)

- Stone Stele Monument for Mongolian Tanjur (2017)

- Stone Inscriptions of Tsogtu Khung-Taiji, Prince of Khalkha (2023 он)

On the Asia and the Pacific list of UNESCO's "Memory of the World" program, Lu. “Altan Tobchi” (2010), Mongolian Sutra of Great Deity Tara (2014), and ‘Merged Garahiin Oron or Towards Attaining Wisdom (2016) have been registered.

Guests and representatives participating in this conference were welcomed by N. Batbold, Head of Research and Research Department of Chinggis Khaan National Museum, introduced the museum exhibits and explained detailed information about the history, heritage, culture and traditions of the Mongolia.

At the conference, presentation and registration of documentary heritage nominated for the list of the Asia and the Pacific region of the Memory of the World Program, main events, projects and programs of the "Memory of the World" program in the Asia and the Pacific region will be discussed, as well as discuss and summarize the reports of the member countries.
