“BANK-100” EXHIBITION HAS BEEN DISPLAYED AT THE CHINGGIS KHAAN NATIONAL MUSEUM

On the 100th anniversary of the establishment and strengthening of the modern banking system in Mongolia "Bank-100" exhibition of photos, banknote and postage stamps was opened on June 2, 2024 at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum. 100 years ago, on June 2 in 1924, a joint Mongolian-Soviet bank, called the “Trade and Industry Bank” was first established which marked the beginning of the modern banking system in Mongolia. During the opening of the exhibition, commemorative coins with the theme “Mongol bank-100 years”, “Imperial edict of Kublai Khan” and “A pair of dragons” issued for the 100th anniversary were officially presented to the public. Additionally, opening of the original image of the "First Day" postage stamp issued by "Mongolian Post" JSC for the 100th anniversary of the banking industry, and the signing of the envelope for depositing the postage stamp in the Postage Stamp Museum of Mongolia were held. At the "Bank-100" exhibition, Mongolian banking industry historical photos, rare and precious collections and exhibits showing the development of Mongolian payment instruments, coins, commemorative coins, and currency were displayed.
