This exhibition shows that Mongolians have the opportunity to see the rare and precious artifacts related to the Mongolian Empire, which are kept in European countries, in their homeland and the museum can receive international level exhibitions. In addition, we are working to hold the Chinggis Khaan exhibition at the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic in March 2025, at the Rietberg Museum in Zurich of Switzerland in October, and in 2026 at the Berlin History Museum of Germany, later in Canada, United States of America.

The exhibition draws from five major European museums and archives, including the Louvre Museum, the National Archives of France, the National Ceramics Museum of Sevres, the Museum of Decorative Arts and the Rietberg Museum of Switzerland, and the collection of collectors Sam and Myrna Myers, which preserves relics related to the Mongol Empire, the Ilkhanate, Yuan, and Khitan.

The rare and important artifacts of the Il Khanate, Yuan, Khitanand Hun period are found scarce in Mongolia, and for the first time the artifacts from Great Mongol Empire established by Chinggis Khaan were displayed together.

The main artifact of this exhibition is a traditional Mongolian script written letter sent by Il Khaan Ulziit to King Philip IV of France in 1305. A letter from Ulziit Khaan, which is coming to Mongolia for the first time after eight centuries, the homeland of his ancestors. It is not only unique in that it fully expresses the incomparable and precious literary heritage of Mongolian Khaans, but also a historical fact, great tradition of statehood, the wonder of traditional Mongolian scripts, and the great peace in Mongolia.

Last year, under the auspices of the President of Mongolia and BNFU, more than 250,000 people visited the exhibition in Nantes, France.
