"MONGOLIAN GER (YURT) CRAFTING USING NEEDLE FELTING TECHNIQUE" PROGRAM

This program focuses on explaining and introducing the origins and development of the traditional Mongolian yurt (ger). Participants will learn about the structure and internal organization of the Mongolian yurt, gaining a deeper understanding of its significance in Mongolian culture.

One of the techniques involved in this program is needle felting, a method used to transform raw wool into felt. Participants will use this technique to create and complete small felt yurts by filling in any unfinished sections of pre-made felt yurt models. This hands-on activity provides a chance to not only learn about the cultural importance of the yurt but also engage in a traditional crafting process.
