GUIDELINES FOR THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE, DEDICATED TO THE 390TH ANNIVERSARY OF ÖNDÖR GEGEEN ZANABAZAR

ONE. OBJECTIVE OF THE CONFERENCE

The Mongolian Government Resolution No. 200 of 2024 states that the 390th anniversary of the birth of the prominent figure in Mongolian state, religion, culture, and the arts, Öndör Gegeen Zanabazar, will be celebrated in 2025. A special exhibition and an international scientific conference will commemorate this anniversary at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum in Ulaanbaatar from July 1 to 4, 2025. The aim is to explore in depth the role and historical significance of Öndör Gegeen Zanabazar, the first Bogd of the lineage of Chinggis Khan, in Mongolian society, as well as his impact on religious, cultural, and political life, and the legacy he left behind, while discovering, studying, and disseminating new research materials.

TWO. CONFERENCE FOCUS

The international scientific conference will focus on the following main themes:

- The biography and activities of Öndör Gegeen Zanabazar

- The art school, masterpieces, and heritage of Öndör Gegeen Zanabazar

- The contribution of Öndör Gegeen Zanabazar to Mongolian Buddhism

- Öndör Gegeen Zanabazar is a significant figure in the state and society.

THREE. CONFERENCE ORGANIZATION

1. Foreign presenters participating in the conference will arrive in Mongolia on June 29-30, 2025.

2. The presenters will visit the Chinggis Khaan National Museum on June 30, 2025, for a museum tour.

3. The international scientific conference will take place on July 1-2, 2025, in the conference hall on the 7th floor of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum.

4. Conference format: In-person and online.

5. Mongolian (English, Russian) is the conference's official language (s). Each conference presentation will be limited to 10-12 minutes.

6. The presenters of the international scientific conference will explore Mongolian nomadic culture on July 3rd.

7. The conference presenters will return from Mongolia on July 4th, 2025.

FOUR. Accepting Applications to Participate in the Conference

1. Applications must be submitted using the template provided in the appendix to the Research and Collections Center of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum by June 5, 2025, at uranbayar.g@chinggismuseum.gov.mn.

2. The application should include the following information: full name, academic title, place of work, email address, phone number, and the title of the presentation. Presenters will be notified by June 10, 2025, whether their presentation title has been accepted for inclusion in the conference program

FIVE. Academic Requirements for Presentations

• A research article should have the following structure: title, abstract, keywords, main text, conclusion, appendix, and list of references.

• The title should be concise and clear, reflecting the article's main idea.

• Keywords should comprise 6-8 words representing the article's content.

• The abstract should provide a clear and concise statement of the main idea of the research work.

• The article should not exceed two printed pages. Technical Requirements:

• Font: Times New Roman, font size 11 for the main text, 9 for quotations and footnotes, line spacing 1.15.

• Paragraph: 5 units.

• Citation: Harvard format citation https://www.mendeley.com/guides/harvard- citationguide.

• Photographs: JPEG, TIFF (300 DPI or higher) files.
