PROTECTORS OF MONGOLIAN CULTURAL HERITAGE PARTICIPATED IN TRAINING

As part of the project “Strengthening the Capacity of Human Resources for the Preservation and Protection of Mongolia’s Tangible Cultural Heritage,” implemented jointly by Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST), and Gwangju National University of South Korea, the “Training to Enhance the Capacity of Cultural Heritage Preservation Specialists (2025.08.04-08)” was organized for the third time.

The training was attended by experts in charge of the preservation and protection of state and local museums, museums in the capital and rural areas, and received certificates. 

The training was conducted by Yi Gwi Yeong, former director of the National Palace Museum of South Korea and director of the National Cultural Heritage Support Center; Ho Ilgwon, senior officer of the Preservation and Protection Department of the National Museum of Korea, on “Preservation and Management of Museum Collections”; Professor Byung-Hun Lee of Yonsei University on “Biological Hazards in the Museum Environment”; and Professor Seo Jung Song of on “History and Cultural Heritage Content.” Participants evaluated and discussed the training as fruitful and mutually beneficial.

A total of 80 representatives from the National Center for Cultural Heritage, the Institute of Archeology under the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, the Institute of History and Ethnology, the National Central Archives, the General Department of Archives, the National Central Library of Mongolia, the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, and the Mongolian State University of Arts and Culture under the Mongolian Academy of Sciences participated in the training for five days.
