A $6 MILLION PROJECT TO DEVELOP DIGITAL CONTENT AND STRENGTHEN THE OPERATIONAL CAPACITY OF THE CHINGGIS KHAAN NATIONAL MUSEUM HAS BEGUN.

This is the largest budget ever granted to Mongolia’s humanitarian sector, and KOICA President Chang Won Sam visited in person today for a meeting. He was received by the museum director, Academician S. Chuluun, who introduced the museum and discussed the project’s planning.

The project, which will be implemented from 2025 to 2028, will cover all aspects of the museum’s operations. This includes training and seminars in both Korea and Mongolia to strengthen human resource capacity in areas such as museum policy, operations, conservation and registration of artifacts, exhibition planning and implementation, education, and marketing. The outcomes will be compiled into a comprehensive guide to be used across the sector. As part of the project, a children's museum will be established within the Chinggis Khaan National Museum. Areas for special exhibits and rest zones will be digitized, and the museum will develop its own digital archive system.
