The Eastern Economic Forum has begun its tenth year this year in Vladivostok, the capital of the Far East of Russia. Within the framework of the forum, the Russian Historical Society is organizing the international scientific conference "ROSCONGRESS" Time to Act.
The conference is attended by Dr. S. Demberel, President of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, Academician S. Chuluun, Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, along with other scholars, who are presenting their research papers.
Academician S. Chuluun, and leading researcher of the Institute of the History of Natural and Technical Sciences of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Dr. T.I. Yusupova jointly gave a presentation on “Soviet-Mongolian scientific cooperation during the Patriotic War” at the scientific conference.
During the opening of the conference, Academician S. Chuluun was awarded the "Honorary Award of the Far Eastern Branch of the Academy of Sciences" by Deputy Director Academician V.L. Larin in recognition of his active support for scientific cooperation between the two countries.
The Chinggis Khaan National Museum, in collaboration with the Institute of History, Archaeology, and Ethnography of the Far Eastern Branch, will jointly excavate and study the remains of a Xiongnu aristocrat. From the Russian side, the project will be led by Academician N. N. Kradin, President of the International Association for Chinggis Khaan Studies.
This year’s conference is distinguished by being held in commemoration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory in World War II and the historic 80th anniversary of the Liberation of East Asia. Researchers from the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, the Institute of Asian and African Studies of Moscow State University, Far Eastern Federal University, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Harbin Institute of Russian Studies, the Vietnam Academy of Social Sciences, Indonesia, and other countries will take part. The conference will run for two days with more than 10 sub-sessions.
