
The Republic of Tuva in the Russian Federation is currently hosting an academic conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Institute for the Humanities and Socio-Economic Studies of Tuva. This international conference is attended by leaders and representatives of more than 30 Russian scientific organizations, and more than 100 reports on the history, archeology, language, literature, and socio-economic research of Tuva are being discussed.
During the event, a decree was issued to award the title of Honored Scientist to Academician S. Chuluun, Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum.
The title was ceremoniously presented at the Government Palace by Deputy Head of the Republic of Tuva, A. V. Sazanov, who emphasized that S. Chuluun has become the fourth scholar from Mongolia to receive this distinction.
The decree conferring the title of Honored Scientist states:
“ In recognition of his outstanding contribution to elevating scientific cooperation between the two countries to a new level; publishing in multiple volumes in Mongolia archival documents from Tuva related to the history of Mongolia and Tuva; expanding joint research; organizing collaborative expeditions in both Mongolia and Tuva, training young scholars researchers and making a significant contribution to the development of Mongolian studies in Tuva.”
