The Chinggis Khaan National Museum has been regularly organizing professional methodological training to enhance the activities of local museums.

This time, the Chinggis Khaan National Museum delivered a practical training session titled “Methodology of Museum Operations” for the Department of Culture, Arts, Tourism, and Youth of Orkhon Province, as well as local museums in the region on January 27, 2026.

Experts from the Erdenet Industrial Museum and the Orkhon province museum participated in the training, and were provided with practical knowledge on how to introduce international standards and regulations of museums into their daily activities, the opportunity to use museums through cultural and creative production, and how to use them as teaching materials in coordination with the education sector, an integrated exhibit registration system, the use of modern techniques and equipment, and adherence to storage and protection procedures.

Specialists from the Erdenet Mining corporation museum and the Orkhon province museum participated in the training. They gained practical knowledge on how to integrate international museum standards and regulations into daily operations, explore ways to utilize museums through cultural and creative industries; develop museums as educational resources in collaboration with the education sector, implement a unified collection registration system, use modern technologies and equipment, and adhere to proper conservation and preservation protocols.
