Based on the original design of a noble silk deel discovered in Delgerkhaan soum, Khentii province, about 50 artists from “Batzuu” LLC spent three months creating a noble silk deel with royal patterns that belongs to the valuable piece of historical and cultural heritage.
This deel, symbolizing the grandeur of Mongolia’s traditional heritage and promoting it to the world, measures 14 meters in height and 18 meters in width, making it the largest Mongolian deel in the world.
Incorporating the traditional craftsmanship heritage of Mongolian artisans, this costume is created using national patterns, intricate embroidery, and fine hand-sewing techniques with fabric, silk, leather, gold thread, and rope. It reflects the Mongolian mentality, creative ingenuity, and cultural identity, and is preserved as a valuable historical and cultural treasure. It is currently on display in the exhibition hall of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum until the 1st of March.
