WE WELCOMED 10,454 VISITORS DURING THE DAYS PROUD OF OUR HISTORY AND CULTURE

The “Museums Open Days 2026” event was organized from March 1 to March 7 with the aim of increasing the participation of children, youth, and families through historical and cultural heritage and works of art, while fostering national pride and patriotic values.

During these days, all state-owned and locally owned museums operating in the 21 provinces of Mongolia provided free admission to their permanent exhibition halls for the public.

During the open days, the Chinggis Khaan National Museum received a total of 10,454 visitors, including: 4,885 adults, 3,464 children 1,094 students, 810 senior citizens, 87 visitors with special needs, 114 foreign visitors

The museum staff worked with their full team, creating opportunities for visitors of all ages to access a wide range of services in one place. Visitors were able to participate in the “Learning at the Museum” educational program, use the museum library, and enjoy the coffee shop. Special areas were prepared where visitors could rest, spend time with their children, and engage in activities. An exhibition of books and publications produced by the museum was also displayed for the public.

During the open days, visitors who came to pay tribute at the Grand Hall of Honor and the Sacred Golden Statue showed respect for Mongolia’s national traditions by wearing traditional Mongolian Deel with their families and friends. The museum staff would like to express their sincere gratitude to all visitors who followed the museum’s internal regulations and received services in a respectful and cultured manner.
