
The training program “Authorization Training for Providing Guided Explanations at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum,” traditionally organized every year for tour guides and interpreters from tourism organizations, is being held for the fifth year from March 12–16, 2026.
More than 70 tour guides and interpreters from 40 organizations are participating in this year’s training, the number of participants of which continues to increase year by year.
The training is unique in that it combines the latest research knowledge with practical training in the museum exhibition halls.
The combined theoretical and practical training was conducted by S. Chuluun, Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum and Academician, B. Batmunkh, instructor of the Professional Tour Guides and Interpreters Association, Erdene-Ochir, Academic Secretary of the Institute of Archaeology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences, J. Bayarsaikhan, Ph.D., Head of the Bronze and Iron Age Research Division at the Institute of Archaeology, L. Ganbat, Ph.D., Head of the Bronze and Iron Age Research Division at the Institute of Archaeology, and Ts. Gunchin-Ish, Ph.D., Head of the Mongol Empire and Medieval History Division at the Institute of History and Ethnology, Mongolian Academy of Sciences.
Academician S. Chuluun delivered explanations in the museum’s halls including the “Hall of the Khans and Nobility of the Chinggis Khaan Lineage,” the “World and the Mongols – Hall of Mongolian Pride,” and the Great Hall of the Chinggis Khaan.
With the number of participants increasing each year, this year’s training brought together more than 70 tour guides and interpreters from 40 tourism organizations, who successfully completed the program and received their certificates and identification cards.
The training was jointly organized by the Research and Collections Center and the Research and Curatorial Team of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum.
