
With the funding of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), the “Museum Digital Content Development and Capacity Building Project” will be implemented at the Chinggis Khaan National Museum in 2026-2028.
Within the framework of this project, a “Training and Meeting for Senior Museum Officials” was organized in South Korea from the 7th to the 16th of this month.
The event was attended by B. Bat-Erdene, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth, the project leader, Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, Academician S. Chuluun, and senior officials of cooperating museums and research institutions.
The delegation held official meetings with representatives of 14 organizations, including Vice Minister Kim Young-soo of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of South Korea, National Museum Director Yoo Hong-jun, and Lee Eun-seok, Director of the National Research Institute of Maritime Cultural Heritage. They exchanged experiences on museum management, digital transformation, preservation of cultural heritage, and content development.
Within the framework of the project, foundational research and cooperative initiatives have been launched to introduce advanced digital technologies into Mongolia’s museum sector and strengthen institutional operational capacity.
