
President Emomali Rahmon of the Republic of Tajikistan, who is paying a state visit to Mongolia, visited the Chinggis Khaan National Museum on July 21, 2026.
The distinguished guests and members of the delegation were welcomed by J. Aldarjavkhlan, Minister of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth of Mongolia, and Academician S. Chuluun, Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, who guided them through the museum's exhibition halls.
During the visit, Director S. Chuluun noted that although the Chinggis Khaan National Museum was established only recently, President Rahmon is the 14th head of state to visit the museum. He introduced Mongolia's history and culture and exchanged views on strengthening academic cooperation between the two countries, including discussions on the Sogdian civilization that flourished in the territory of present-day Tajikistan and its cultural legacy that was transmitted to Mongolia.
President Emomali Rahmon visited the Great Statue in the Museum's Hall of Honor and left his impressions in the museum's guestbook, leaving a historical mark on the relations between the two countries.
