TRAINING PROGRAM FOR CULTURAL HERITAGE PROFESSIONALS

The Chinggis Khaan National Museum, in collaboration with the Mongolian University of Science and Technology (MUST) and Kongju National University of the Republic of Korea, will organize the fourth Capacity-Building Training for Cultural Heritage Conservation Professionals from 3-7 March. The training is held as part of the project “Strengthening Human Resource Capacity for the Conservation of Mongolia’s Tangible Cultural Heritage.”

The program is intended for professionals responsible for the conservation and management of museum collections and artifacts throughout Mongolia, representatives of educational institutions specializing in cultural heritage, and private-sector organizations working in the field. The training will be delivered by leading experts and professors from the Republic of Korea.

The training will feature the following sessions:

Ho Il-gwon, Senior Conservator, Conservation Division, National Museum of Korea - “Conservation Practices in Museum Exhibition Galleries.”

Kwon Hee-hun, Professor, Korea National University of Cultural Heritage - “Exhibition Design, Management, and Conservation of Fine Art Collections.”

Shin Yun-bi, Professor, Daejeon University of Science and Technology - “Conservation and Management of Archaeological Artifacts in Museum Collections.”
