"KHANS ROADS-2026" CONTINUED AT GUN GALUUTAI, THE BIRTHPLACE OF NOBLEMAN D. NATSAGDORJ, WITH A POETRY FESTIVAL

The “Khans Road 2026” event continued in Gun Galuutai, the birthplace of D. Natsagdorj, a descendant of the Golden Lineage (Altan Urug), with a poetry festival titled “My Little Lamb”.

Initiated by the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, the festival was co-organized by the Culture, Arts, Tourism, and Youth Department of Tov Province, the “Shuvuun Saaral” Literary Association, the Citizens' Representative Khural (Council), the Governor's Office, and the Cultural Center of Bayandelger Soum. The “My Little Lamb” children's poetry competition was held to commemorate the 120th birth anniversary of Dashdorjiin Natsagdorj, the founder of Modern Mongolian Literature.

Distinguished guests included S. Chuluun, Director of the National Museum of the Chinggis Khaan and Academician, B. Otgonbayar, Advisor to the Governor’s Office of Tov Province; B. Tungalag, Director of the Department of Culture, Arts, Tourism and Youth, D. Enkh-Sukh, Governor of Bayandelger Soum, Sh. Sukhbaatar, Honored Lawyer of Mongolia and poet, J. Bayarjargal, Cultural Merit Worker of Mongolia, recipient of the D. Natsagdorj Prize and winner of the “Bolor Tsom” poetry award, O. Sundui, Cultural Merit Worker of Mongolia, recipient of the D. Natsagdorj Prize and children’s author, and O. Myagmar, Chairman of the D. Natsagdorj Foundation.

The judging panel consisted of O. Shinebayar, Director and Associate Professor at the Institute of Language and Literature of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences, D. Tsevandorj, Associate Professor and Head of the Literature Department at the institute; and T. Purevsuren, PhD and Head of the Computational Linguistics Laboratory.

The competition was held at the site of the birthplace of the great writer Dashdorjiin Natsagdorj in Gun Galuutai, Bayandelger Soum, Tov Province. High school students selected from 27 soums of the province competed in poetic skill and talent. The top 8 students were selected for the second round and awarded their prizes by S. Chuluun, Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum.
