The "Eyes of the Khans" outdoor art exhibition was organized at the foothills of Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain in Bayan-Unjuul Soum, Tuv Province, as part of the “Khans Road 2026” event on August 2, 2026.

Professional artists participated in the open-air exhibition. Each artist was provided with a unified 40 × 60 cm canvas by the gallery. Based on on-site study and research, they created several paintings and presented their works to the public.

A total of 12 artists took part in the exhibition, including award-winning artist of the Union of Mongolian Artists Ts. Bold, members of the Union of Mongolian Artists A. Taivanbold and Ö. Galtbaatar, artists S. Purevkhuu, B. Monkh, A. Ankhbaatar, and young artists B. Yoson-Erdene, B. Dashnyam, J. Bud, M. Purevdorj, B. Byambajav, and G. Ganbayar.

The event aims to develop a tourism route from Burkhan Khaldun, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the sacred homeland associated with Chinggis Khaan, to Kharkhorum, the capital of the Mongol Empire, while promoting the cultural heritage of Mongolia’s kings and aristocracy.

In recognition of their participation in this initiative, S. Chuluun, Academician and Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, presented certificates of appreciation to the participating artists, as well as to the Governor’s Office of Bayan-Onjuul Soum and the Cultural Center.

Zorgol Khairkhan Mountain, located in Bayan-Unjuul Soum of Tuv Province, stands at an elevation of 1,668 meters and features three caves of varying sizes. The rocky hill standing prominently just south of the mountain peak is known as Morin Tsokhio (Horse Cliff). By ancient tradition, a small-scale worship ritual and Naadam are held for Zorgol Khairkhan and Morin Tsokhio every year on the 8th day of the first summer month. Zorgol Khairkhan is considered one of the beautiful granite mountains found in the Khalkha Mongolian region.
