As part of the “Khans’ Road 2026” event, the open-air calligraphy exhibition “Inscriptions of the Khans” was held on August 3, 2026, at Duutiin Khad, a historic site in Delgerkhaan soum, Tov Province. The exhibition aimed to promote and introduce to the public the historical heritage of Mongolian khans and aristocracy, as well as Mongolia’s traditional script culture.

Initiated by the Chinggis Khaan National Museum and organized in collaboration with the Khukh Bichig Academy of Script and Culture, the exhibition featured works by leading Mongolian calligraphers inspired by the historical heritage and unique natural formations of Duutiin Khad.

The “Inscriptions of the Khans” open-air calligraphy exhibition is a unique cultural event that brings together Mongolia’s history of statehood, the heritage of its traditional script, distinctive natural landscapes, and modern artwork in a single setting.

Fifteen top artists participated in the exhibition, led by calligraphy master D. Batbayar, a bearer of the "Mongolian Calligraphy" heritage inscribed on UNESCO's List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding. The competition winners were: First Place: B. Bolorchimeg (11th grade) Second Place: N. Nandin-Erdene (8th grade) Third Place: O. Nomin-Erdene (11th grade) Fourth Grade: B. Lkhamatsend (8th grade)

The opening ceremony was attended by B. Bat-Erdene, State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Sports, Tourism and Youth, S. Chuluun, Director of the Chinggis Khaan National Museum, as well as local government officials and representatives of the local community.
